Dr. Linda Rinker, V.P. of Academic Affairs & Provost
Welcome to the office of the Provost/Academic Vice President. In this job, I am second in authority to the president of the university — but my first job is to serve both undergraduate and graduate students and make sure they get the most out of their academic career at WestConn.
On a day-to-day basis, that means I work on development of curriculum and faculty, outreach to the community, research opportunities and making connections with public schools. I am also involved in statewide projects to develop educational opportunities and programs, such as the new kindergarten through fifth-grade magnet school that opened on our Westside campus this year.
I work closely with the deans of the schools, the registrar’s office, the enrollment department officer, the director of the library and the grants director, so I have a hand in nearly everything a student might be involved with at WestConn.
Please contact me if you have a concern or need help with a problem. If I can’t solve it, I will know who to talk to.
And please read through the rest of the Academic Affairs Web page to see all we offer you at WestConn.
