Darby Cardonsky

Darby Cardonsky, an advisor to the WestConn MFA program, is the owner and partner of Bachelier-Cardonsky Gallery .  She received a master's degree in studio art at Hunter College in New York, and upon graduation went to work for a dealer in Old Masters in the city.  She worked with Spencer Samuels for about 25 years, even while she had the gallery. In addition, Ms. Cardonsky got an education in Modern art as the private secretary and studio assistant to Lee Krasner, the widow of Jackson Pollock.

Darby is teaching Gallery Talk, a course preparing the students to curate a gallery or museum.
