International Language Panel- Wed. Sept 24th, 2008
INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE PANEL: Multilingual professionals will discuss using their language skills in their work as part of "International Language Panel: The Importance of Language in Today's World" at 3 p.m. in Room 103 of Warner Hall on the WestConn Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Languages such as Spanish, Russian, French, English and Portuguese will be represented. The discussion, hosted by the Career Development Center, the Department of World Languages and the International Services Office, will be free and the public is invited. Etiquette Dinner - Tuesday October 14th, 2008
The Career Development Center is again hosting our very popular annual Etiquette Dinner Program entitled "Putting Your Best Fork Forward", on Tuesday October 14th from 5-8pm at the Westside Campus Center Ballroom. Author and Professional Etiquette Consultant Ann Marie Sabath will address various topics including "Key Ways for Enhancing Your Professional Style" and "Dining Etiquette". Information will also be presented on effective business communication including business etiquette in correspondence, making a positive first impression, networking, and international business and dining etiquette.

The Career Development Center schedules special career programs, frequently in conjunction with student clubs, organizations or academic departments. These collaborative efforts provide students with the opportunity to meet with professionals in their fields of interest. Special Career Days may also be arranged on a larger scale, depending on a space available basis. Check with the CDC for the latest information on upcoming programs and events.
