| Required of all students All MS students must complete a thesis or research project. Thesis work begins in NUR 504, then continues under the direction of a thesis advisor. Students should register for GRA 799 in order to receive continued thesis advisement after completing NUR 504. |

Post-Master's Certificate: Adult Nurse Practitioner
The Department of Nursing also offers a Post-Master's Certification program to prepare Adult Nurse
Practitioners. Admission to the program requires the following:
- MS with a significant clinical component
- NUR 570, Advanced Clinical Pharmacology, or equivalent; or licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in either Connecticut or New York
- Basic skills in health assessment, as evidenced by completion of a formal or continuing education program in the past five years or via paper-and-pencil and practical testing prior to entry into the program.
Students are required to take the following courses:
