State Mandated Immunization Requirements

Each entering student born after 12/31/56 must meet the State Mandated Measles/Rubella Law, Public Act 89-90.

The following criteria are necessary to comply with this act:

Measles

Dates for two separate doses of measles vaccines must be submitted. Proof of these two immunizations must fall within the following guidelines:

Immunization with live measles vaccines administered as follows:

  • first dose on or after 12 months of age and given in or after 1969
  • second dose given on or after 1/1/80
    or
  • serological evidence of immunity

Rubella

Immunization with Rubella vaccine on or after 6/9/67 or serological evidence   of immunity

** Proof of graduation from a Connecticut High School in or after 1999 will also be accepted as proof of  immunity for Measles and Rubella.

Meningococcal Vaccine

Beginning with the school year 2002-2003 and each year thereafter, each college or university shall require that all students who reside in on-campus housing show proof of being vaccinated against meningococcal meningitis.

Hepatitis B Series
