The Department of Music at Western Connecticut State University (WestConn) is a friendly, vibrant, student-oriented unit in an institution of higher learning that serves as an accessible, responsive and creative intellectual resource for the people and institutions of Connecticut. We strive to meet the education needs of a diversified student body through instruction, performance, scholarship and public service. The Department of Music at WestConn aspires to be a public university of choice for programs of excellence in music education, performance, and liberal arts by providing full-time and part-time students with the necessary background to be successful in their chosen careers and to be productive members of society.
