Jazz guitarist/composer Christopher Morrison holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Western Connecticut State University and a Masters of Music in Jazz Performance from The Conservatory of Music at SUNY at Purchase.

Chris is an Adjunct Professor at Western Connecticut State University, where he teaches jazz guitar and directs both of the schools’ jazz guitar ensembles. He is also an instructor at the University of Bridgeport, Western Connecticut State University Summer Music Camp, and the National Guitar Summer Workshop. He has studied with Sal Salvador and Hal Galper. Chris has performed and/or recorded with Richie Cole, Joe Beck, John Patitucci, Adam Nussbaum, Harvie Swartz, Yoron Israel, Chip Jackson, Lew Soloff, and Ralph Lalama.

He is an Artist Representative for “F” guitars and Evans Custom Amplifiers. Chris currently leads his own trio as well as being an in-demand sideman.
