Sep. 7 DANCE TEAM AUDITIONS (WestConn students only)

The WCSU Dance team will hold a workshop and auditions. The workshop will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, in the Westside Campus Center Ballroom, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury, and the auditions will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12, in the Bill Williams Gymnasium in Berkshire Hall on the Midtown campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. Sep. 12 FINE ARTS AND FAMILY SERIES: THE MANHATTAN STRING QUARTET: 

The Manhattan String Quartet will perform at 7 p.m. at the Ives Concert Park on the WestConn Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. The quartet will play Mozart and Schubert. Mozart's String Quartet in d min K 421 and Schubert's String Quartet called "Death and the Maiden," which are two of the pieces performed by the MSQ that are most revered by audiences all over the world. VISITOR PARKING ADVISORY: Western Connecticut State University offers several convenient, centrally located parking spaces for visitors to the university’s Midtown and Westside campuses in Danbury. Midtown visitor parking is in the lot next to Old Main and in designated spaces next to University Hall. Parking in the university’s White Street and Fifth Avenue garages is restricted to students, faculty and staff with hang-tags and/or parking stickers from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday; visitors are welcome to park in the garages all other times. Westside visitor parking is on University Boulevard. Visitors who cannot be accommodated in these parking areas are asked to call the University Police Department to make other arrangements.
