KYLE WOOD AND SHAUNA MORASCO SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN
NCAA NATIONAL STUDENT-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE

DANBURY, CT - (April 3) - Shauna Morasco and Kyle Wood, two Western Connecticut State University standout athletes, have been selected to participate in the upcoming NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference on May 25-27 at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

The NCAA received 1840 nominations from 462 institutions that met all of the established guidelines from Division I, II and III.  From the nominees, a total of 700 student-athletes were selected to participate in the Conference.

Morasco, a junior back, has been a member of the WestConn field hockey program since its re-institution in 2005.  Wood, a junior, is the Colonials starting goalie on the men's lacrosse team. 

Allan Bowen, a member of WestConn's football team, will serve as an alternate in 2008.
