WestConn men's tennis make it four straight 9-0
victories with win over UMass Boston
DANBURY, CT (Apr. 10) —For the fourth straight match, the Western Connecticut State University men's tennis team has shut out its opponent, 9-0. On Saturday, the University of Massachusetts Boston fell victim to the Colonials' hot start.
Troy Pandolfi (Danbury, CT), John Phillips (Hartford, CT), Tyler Brown (Sherman, CT) and Chris Turner (Brookfield, CT) each did not lose a single game with 6-0, 6-0 victories over their opponents.
Juan Ocampos (Danbury, CT) and Andrew Kelley (Weston, CT) had identical 6-1, 6-0 win over Himanshu Dubey and Brian Sou at #2 and #5 singles, respectively.
The Colonials are now 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the Little East Conference. The Beacons drop to 0-7 overall and are 0-1 in the league.
WestConn travels to Rhode Island College for its first road match of the season on Tuesday, April 13. Match time is set for 3:30 pm
