WebCT is a course management system that enables efficient delivery of online education. With a complete set of easy-to-use teaching and learning tools for course development, course delivery, and course management, WebCT provides the best system for student learning and an efficient solution for faculty of all experience levels.
WebCT offers faculty a flexible, integrated environment where they can use the latest technology to foster inquiry, encourage discourse, and inspire collaboration–all online–allowing them to integrate flexible pedagogical tools within the existing classroom infrastructure.
Not only is WebCT a great tool for delivering content and materials to your students, but you are also provided with tools to easily manage your students and their work, including assignments, grades, quizzes, and discussions.
Here at WestConn, we encourage our faculty to take advantage of the tools offered through WebCT. There is a WebCT tool for every teaching style. Whether you want to start off slow by utilizing a few of the tools, such as syllabus and discussion, or more robust tools like quizzes, we can get you started. If you are interested in using WebCT and require training, e-mail training@wcsu.edu. All faculty access their WebCT courses through WestConnduit,WestConn’s portal.
Faculty must request the courses that they plan to use in Vista. Requests can be submitted online (www.wcsu.edu/technology/vista/request.asp).
