Parking Permits

Parking permits for Bradley International Airport are available to all State employees on official State business regardless of source of air ticket purchase.  Request for parking permit may be made by checking the box on the Travel Authorization form.  However, a current copy of the employee’s personal automobile insurance policy must be on file in the Travel Office (see section “Insurance and Use of Personally Owned Vehicle”, page 5).

Parking at Bradley International Airport is limited to lot 5B only, with overflow lot 5A available if open on that particular day.

If lot 5B or overflow lot 5A is not available, the State employee traveling on State business will be required to pay for their own parking.  Parking for State employees who are traveling on State business will be reimbursed for economy lots 1, 3, and 4.  Parking in the Bradley Airport parking garage will not be reimbursed.

If no parking is available or a parking permit is not accepted it must be returned to the Travel Office along with the parking receipt to be reimbursed for parking.

A parking permit is only valid for the length of the business travel, with a limit of up to fourteen (14) days.  Any parking fees incurred beyond that will be the responsibility of the individual at the time they exit the parking facility.

Charges for airport parking (other than Bradley International Airport) are reimbursable, a receipt is required.
