Student-inspired presentations and discussions on various topics involving Meteorology will take place throughout the Fall 2008 semester. The objective of these sessions is to explore and share knowledge about various areas of Meteorology, through independent research, open-discussion and other methods.
These sessions are open to students, faculty and the general public. The wall of monitors and other technology in the Weather Center and Science Building will be used to view, compare, contrast and present material, ideas and information.
The tentative schedule includes at least one presentation or discussion taking place each week, with events on most Thursday afternoons. Plans towards more frequent dates and additional special events are in the works.
