WestConnect I.D. Cards

* Your WESTCONNECT card is good as long as you are an active member of the university.  DO NOT lose or discard your ID card, as there is a $15.00 replacement fee.

Who should have a WESTCONNECT Card?
All registered students, faculty, staff and university affiliates must obtain a WESTCONNECT Card. This includes all part-time, evening and summer students. Department contacts are responsible for contacting the Card office and making appropriate arrangements for visitors, contractors, vendors and other non-University personnel who are authorized to be on University grounds.

ISSUANCE: You will need to bring a valid form of photo identification (driver's license, state identification card, passport) and your course schedule verifying registration for the current semester.


What is the WESTCONNECT Card and Why should I have one?
The WESTCONNECT Card serves primarily as an identification card. There is no charge for the first WESTCONNECT  Card. Your WESTCONNECT Card should be retained for as long as you are a student at Western Connecticut State University.

Exciting Future Services:

Replacement Cards: Lost, stolen or damaged cards should be reported immediately to the WESTCONNECT Card Office during normal business hours or to the Campus Police Department (837-9300) at other times.

Replacement cards (lost or stolen) will be replaced for a fee of $15 payable at the Cashier's Office.

Replacement cards must be obtained in person and will not be mailed. Damaged cards will be replaced at no charge, however the broken card/card pieces must be returned to the Card Office before a new card will be issued.

When and Where do I obtain a WESTCONNECT Card?
The WESTCONNECT Card office is located on the lower-level of the Old Main Administration Building. Normal business hours are 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m. Monday through Friday.

WESTCONNECT Card Policy
The WESTCONNECT card is yours to use, but it remains the property of Western Connecticut State University. The card may be used for such purposes as the University designates and may be revoked at any time. It is not transferable under any condition and should not be used by any other individual at any time. This card must be carried at all times while on University property. The card must be presented and/or surrendered upon demand be University officials; failure to do so, lending of this card to anyone, or other misuse, is a violation of this policy and may result in suspension of the card. No person shall possess more than one WESTCONNECT card. The card is void upon termination of enrollment and/or employment. Use of your card constitutes acceptance of terms and conditions under which it was issued.

Taking Care of Your WESTCONNECT Card
Your WESTCONNECT card may be damaged if it is not cared for properly. Do not punch holes in your card or apply any unauthorized stickers, as this may make the card unusable. Please do not leave the card exposed to sources of heat or in contact with magnetic fields.
