STUDENTS: 2008-09 Parking permits are available after July 1, 2008 at the WESTCONNect Card Office. Please bring in your WESTCONNect ID card and current vehicle registration. The application is available here if you wish to fill it out ahead of time.
FACULTY/STAFF: 2008-09 Parking permits will be sent to the faculty/staff person's department. This is true for adjunct faculty scheduled to teach Fall 2008. All full-time faculty and staff were issued permits last year that will not expire for another year until 8/31/2009.
How to Get One:
There is no charge to obtain a parking permit. Students wishing to obtain a WCSU parking permit during the 2008/09 academic year should bring the following to the WESTCONNect Card Office:

Lost Parking Permits cost $10.00 and are charged to your student account.

Where is It Placed On the Vehicle?
Place the parking decal in the lower inside corner of the windshield on the driver's side. If your vehicle registration is there, place the decal above or next to it in a fashion that will not interfere with driver's visibility.
How to Get One:
There is no charge to obtain a parking permit. Full-time faculty and staff receive a two-year hang tag through inter-departmental mail or when they start employment.
The present hang tag is current through August 31, 2009.
How to Replace One:
Come to the WESTCONNect Card Office during business hours with your WESTCONNect ID card. A new hang tag will be issued to you.
Where is it Placed on the Vehicle?
Hang tags should be clearly displayed from the vehicle's rearview mirror.

Visitors with a valid photo identification may obtain visitor parking permits at the WESTCONNect Card Office. Visitors arriving outside of card office hours (M-F 8:00 AM-4:00 PM) should contact the campus police at (203) 837-9300.
Faculty or staff who forget their hang tags or Students who have a different vehicle for one day only may park in the permitted location and call their vehicle information (make, model, license plate and where it is parked) in to campus police.
If a student is driving a temporary vehicle on campus for more than one day, a temporary parking permit may be obtained at the WESTCONNect Card Office by presentation of a valid WESTCONNect ID Card.
Contractor Parking Permits may be requested by the contracting department. Contractors or the contracting department may obtain contractor parking permits at the WESTCONNect Card Office. Contractors arriving outside of card office hours (M-F 8:00 AM-4:00 PM) should contact the campus police at (203) 837-9300.

I have a new car-what should I do?
Students with new vehicles should bring the new vehicle registration and WESTCONNect card to the WESTCONNect card office to obtain a decal. The old decal will be deactivated.
I use two vehicles-can I get a second permit?
No. Students, faculty, and staff are allowed only one valid parking permit at a time. Students may swap out their primary vehicles, if necessary, and receive a new decal at no charge.
I don't have my vehicle registration-can I get a parking permit?
You need a valid, current registration to obtain a parking permit. Temporary registrations are considered valid. The card office will issue temporary parking permits to students who need to park on campus while they apply for a new copy of their vehicle registration from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
I have an overnight visitor-do they need a parking permit?
All visitors who will be on campus longer than an hour should obtain a parking permit from the WESTCONNect Card Office. Overnight parking rules are available at the official parking site.
I am a faculty/staff member and did not receive my permit through interdepartmental mail.
Please come to the WESTCONNect Card Office with your valid university ID. We will issue you a replacement parking permit and invalidate the lost permit.
Westconn currently has one gate access facility, the 5th Avenue Parking Garage, on its midtown campus. When the gates are down, only authorized individuals may park in the facility by using their WESTCONNect ID card to trigger the gates to rise.
